Nottingham Garden Club presents "PROPAGATION"
On March 1, 2012 Nottingham Country Garden Club will feature Marilyn Almon, a Fort Bend Master Gardener. Her program will be “Propagation.” Meet and greet time begins at 9:30 AM and the program will start at 10 AM, followed by the NCGC Meeting. FREE BASIC COMPUTER SKILLS CLASS BEGINS
On Wednesday January 4, 2012, a seven week course on basic computer skills will begin. One hour class sessions will be offered each Monday and Wednesday. On Mondays, choose either 10:15 AM or 5:15 PM. On Wednesdays, choose either 1:15 PM or 4:30 PM. No registration is required. Classroom space is limited to 13 students per class session, and seating will be given on a first come first serve basis.

On Tuesday January 3, 2012, a five week class on Microsoft Office Excel and PowerPoint 2007 will begin. One hour class sessions will be given each Tuesday at either 10:15 AM, or 5:30 PM, and Thursday at either 10:15 AM, or 4:30 PM. No registration is required. Free Capoeria class every Saturday morning. The Saturday morning demo class meets at Relax the Back shortly before 10am each Saturday and then moves to another spot to learn and play capoeira. We go over the basic movements and principles as well as introduce students to the authentic Brazilian musical instruments and rhythms. Although we encourage people of all ages to join us, we do not have a dedicated children's class and most of our students are over the age of sixteen. TUESDAYS AND THURSDAYS 5-6 P.M. Yoga is a system of personal development which combines breathing techniques, movement and stretching, mindfulness and focus and relaxation techniques to calm and revitalize the mind, body and spirit. Every class is a non-competitive, positive and encouraging session suited to nearly all body types and skill levels. Every student is encouraged to work at their own pace, and modifications are taught for every level of ability. Each class will start with basic breathing exercises, followed by a practice of physical postures and ending with a time of calming, meditation or rest. Please bring a yoga mat.
